Alcohol Screening Tools
Primary care providers often screen their patients for a variety of conditions, including alcohol use. Screening is not the same as diagnostic testing, which can establish a definite diagnosis. Instead, screening is used to identify people who are likely to have a disorder, as determined by their answers to certain questions.
What is a PACE program?
The PACE Model of Care began in the early 1970’s when the Chinatown-North Beach community of San Francisco saw a need for long-term care services by people. The Balanced Budget Act of 1997 established the PACE model as a permanently recognized provider type under both the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
